Following the successful refurbishment of Radisson Blu Cardiff’s guest rooms, the hotel commissioned Sauce Interiors to elevate several high-traffic areas. These spaces had become dated and inconsistent with the new room aesthetic and Radisson’s wider brand direction. The goal was to deliver a refreshed, high-impact visual upgrade that aligned with Radisson’s premium identity — with minimal operational disruption.

Our Solution
1. Corridor Transformation with Bespoke Wall Graphics
We replaced plain corridor walls with full-height digitally printed architectural wall coverings.The new design delivers:
- A modern, abstract visual identity
- A strong sense of arrival and personality on each floor
- Improved wayfinding through integrated “Floor One” brand panels
- High-durability, wipe-clean surfaces ideal for hotel traffic
The transformation from “blank corridor” to a fully branded, immersive guest journey dramatically improved the first impression and cohesion between guest rooms and communal areas.
2. Foyer Feature Wall Upgrade
In the ground-floor foyer, we installed large-format wall graphics to replace outdated painted finishes.
The new feature wall:
- Enhances the aesthetic quality of the entrance
- Reflects Radisson’s premium and contemporary look
- Creates a cohesive visual flow from the entrance to the lift lobbies
- Delivers a much stronger sense of brand immersion for arriving guests
This subtle but impactful upgrade significantly modernised the reception experience.
3. External Illuminated Signage
The hotel’s main entrance signage was removed and replaced with a new, fully illuminated Radisson Blu brand sign.
This included:
- New 3D built-up letters
- Premium LED illumination for increased visibility
- A redesigned “Blu” panel with brand-compliant colours
- Installation using mobile scaffold to avoid operational disruption
The result is a clean, bold and highly visible façade that reinforces the hotel’s identity day and night.
The Outcome:
Sauce Interiors ensured that the upgrade to public areas supported Radisson Blu’s environmental goals and Green Key ambitions.
The hotel now benefits from:

Stronger brand cues from arrival through to guest floors
